Certain colors cannot be printed

If certain colors cannot be printed, the ink cartridge is probably the cause. Check to see if your model has an out-of-ink indicator light. Replace your ink cartridge if the light is on.

Next, determine whether the ink nozzle of the print head is dirty or clogged. Clean it with the head cleaning utility of your EPSON ink jet printer, accessible from the Utilities menu in the printer driver or from the printer's control panel.

After running the head cleaning utility several times, if the printer still fails to print a particular color, replace the ink cartridge for that color.

Cleaning the printer head

If certain colors cannot be printed, the toner cartridge is probably the cause. The error message "****Toner Crtg Out" indicates that a toner cartridge has yet to be installed in your printer. A letter, Y, M, C or K, appears in place of the asterisks indicating the color of the missing cartridge. Install the required toner cartridge.

The error message "****Toner Out" indicates that a toner cartridge is empty. Y, M, C or K, appears in place of the asterisks indicating the color of the empty cartridge. Replace the appropriate toner cartridge.
